Linda Brandon

Linda has an honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and  has been working in this field for the last six years as a volunteer and in private practice. She also has certificates in addiction studies, and has attended the following work shops;

  • Choice Theory
  • Reality Therapy
  • Lead Management
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
  • Working with people who have sexually offended against children
  • Assessment and treatment of pathological gambling
  • Working with eating disorders

 Linda is accredited with the IACP and follows their ethical guidelines (www.irishcounselling.ie).  Linda’s approach is ‘integrative’ which means she draws on a background of psychodynamic, person-centred and cognitive training. While there are various approaches to psychotherapy, Linda believes that what most successful therapies have in common is the quality of the relationship of mutual respect and trust between client and therapist.

Before entering the Counselling field Linda did a holistic course for two years  and holds CIBTAC diplomas in;

  • Reflexology
  • Anatomy and Physiology
